Me and Anna (~sensualDeath) went out on a spontaneous photoshoot. The location was Uppsala Domkyrka (The Church of Doom), the biggest church in Sweden. Camera on tripod, Anna in a bench row which I lit up with two speedlights with 1/2 CTO gel.

All six images is taken at 1/60th of a second, f/5@38mm, ISO 200. Images developed in Adobe Lightroom 2, and put together in Adobe Photoshop CS3.

A shot from my outdoor shoot with Anna. We went to a tunnel in town which were lit with blue color, I brought an umbrella and a set of strobes, and we just started shooting. This is one of the shots we got.

One flash at lower camera right, pointed directly at Anna and the wall at her left. A second flash on top camera left, bounced off the tunnel ceiling. Balanced with the ambient light, but I still have to work on getting less harsh shadows.

Classic portrayal of a domesticated cat on a television. Small note about the lighting: could have used some more backlighting and a teeny tiny bit more key light, but this was simply a shot with only one bounced strobe. It’s hard to get cats to do just the right pose!

Last self-portrait of the year

This went to be the last self-portrait I took the year 2008. Lit with two flashes, one to the left and one to the right, both bounced against the ceiling.

A quick self-portrait, entitled a lyrical quote from Machine Head. I am currently experimenting with light alot, and my strobes are working themselves hot.

Bite

This is Anna again, and her otherwise friendly cat. This shot is taken with a Canon EOS 350D with a 18-55 mm lens and a flash bounced off the wall and roof. Oh, and the cat isn’t really angry, and doesn’t bite ya hard, she simply grabs your nose with her teeth.
